TEA

Since Nyeri Hill Farm has been producing tea in Nyeri for many years, we have the knowledge, skill, and experience necessary to get the best Kenyan tea possible for our consumers.

Located in close proximity to the Aberdare ranges, the higher elevations of Nyeri Hill farm provide an ideal environment for tea production. Covering an expansive area of 150 acres, comprising 100 mature acres and 50 newly established acres, the tea unit is under the guidance of a trained agronomist, ensuring professionalism and adherence to good agricultural practices.

Our tea cultivation encompasses three distinct varieties: 31/8, D-99, and SFS. Situated at an altitude ranging between 1200m to 1800m above sea level, the red soils with a slightly acidic pH of 5.5 contribute to the unique terroir of our tea.
Annually, the farm yields an impressive green leaf tea production ranging from 250 to 280 tons. This equates to an average production range of 2 kg to 2.5 kg per bush, showcasing the farm’s commitment to consistently delivering high-quality tea leaves.
